In Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Electoral Officer is responsible to issued an Election Card for the eligible citizens. Every Indian citizen who is ordinarily resident of HP and has completed 18 years of age on the modified date of 1st January are eligible to apply for new Voter Card. Application for Objecting Inclusion or Seeking deletion of Name in Voter List (HP) Most of the citizen want for seeks deletion of own name or seeking deletion of any other person’s name in Electoral Roll due to Death, due to Shifting or any other reasons. For objection inclusion of name in the electoral roll, the applicant must be filed an application in Form-7. The “Application Form-7” is available in the Office of Electoral Registration Officer, or you can download it from the official web portal of CEO, (HP), the link is given below. Required Documents for Voter ID Card Deletion- Application in prescribed format (Form 7) Elector’s Photo Identity Card which is to be deleted Objector’s Identity proof is required such as Aadhar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, Passport etc. Required residence proof of applicant like Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Water/Electricity/Telephone Bill etc. Photocopies of all document should be attested from the gazetted officers. Procedure to Fill Form-7 for Objection Inclusion of Name in Electoral Roll The application form-7 is available in two languages either in Hindi or English, download it as per your requirement. After downloaded the application form, fill it carefully and fill all mandatory fields. Write the constituency name of the applicant in the first place. Then mark one alternative among of 3 alternative options as you are objecting to the proposed inclusion of the name of the other person or you are requesting that entry relating to name of the other person is required to be deleted, or you are claiming that the entry relating to yourself is to be removed from the electoral roll. The following details to fill form-7 given below. (A) Particulars of the Applicant- Please enter the Name and Surname of applicant Then enter the Part number where the applicant is residence. Fill the Serial Number of that part in prescribed boxes. Also fill the EPIC number to the applicant. (If issued) (B)Details of Person Inclusion of whose name in Objected to/whose entry is to be deleted- Please fill that person's Name and Surname (Whose entry is to deleted) Fill the Part number of the constituency and the Serial number of that part. Enter Elector’s Photo Identity Card Number of that person. Now fill the specific reason for objection/deletion (as due to moved in another constituency, due to death, having double voter card or name inclusion in two constituency, etc.) (C) Declaration- In the end, please fill self-declaration that the facts and particulars you filled above are correct and true to the best of your knowledge and belief. Giving false declaration is punishable under section- 31 of the Representation of People Act, 1950. Then enter Place, Date and do your Signature in the prescribed places. The last section will be filled by the ERO of the constituency. Before submitting the application form attached with supporting documents and send it to the Office of ERO/AERO/BLO in your area of residence. While submission of the documents you will get an acknowledgment receipt from the concerned office, keep the receipt safe for further reference.
