    Many of person want to delete their name in Electoral Roll/Voter List as they permanently shifted to another constituency or they have more than one Voter/Election Card. In both conditions, citizen needs to delete their Voter/Election Card for avoids further inconvenience. If any person seeking deletion of someone name in Electoral Roll then he/she can apply either.

    The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab provides a facility to those citizens who want to objection inclusion or seeking deletion of name in voter list. The application Form is available on the official web portal of CEO, Punjab (URL:- This portal also provides many other such facilities related to EPIC as Application for Registration of Electors, Application for inclusion of name in the electoral roll, objection to particulars entered in voter roll, Transposition of entry in voter list, Inclusion of name as service Elector (for armed forces) etc.

    Objecting Inclusion or Seeking Deletion of Name in Electoral Roll

    Application for objecting inclusion of name in voter list, the applicant need to fill Form-7 for the same. The applicant/objector also need a Photo Identity Card which is to be deleted. See the rule of 13 (2) and 26 to know more about name deletion from voter's list. The application form-7 is easily available in District Election Office or any other polling office. The form-7 can be download from the official website of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab. The link for download the "application form-7" is given below.
    Required Document for deletion of name in Electoral Roll-
    1. Voter ID Card (Which is to be deleted)
    2. Objector Identity Card (If any)
    3. Required Identity Card of Applicant like Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Driving License etc.
    4. Applicant’s Residence proof is also required as Ration Card, Passport, Water Bill, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill etc.

    Procedure to fill up Form-7 for Name Deletion from Voter List

    Firstly the applicant needs to fill up their Assembly/Parliamentary Constituency in required place. Then select one option between two options that you object to the proposed inclusion of name in the Electoral Roll or you submit that the entry relating to yourself. Here we are going to provide you following steps to fill application form-7.

    Details of person inclusion of whose name is objected to-
    • Write Name and Surname
    • Enter the Part number of electoral roll in which his/her name is included
    • Then enter his/her Serial number in that part
    • If issued then fill Elector’s Photo Identity Card number

    Details of Objector-
    • Fill the Name and Surname of objector
    • Enter Sex (Male/Female)
    • Write the Part number of electoral roll in which objector’s name is included
    • Also write his/her Serial number in that Part
    • Then after write Father’s/Mother’s/Husband’s name and surname

    Particulars of place of ordinary residence (Full Address) of Objector seeking deletion-
    • Objector’s House or Door Number
    • Street/Road/Area/Locality of Objector
    • Write Village/Town name
    • Then write Post office and Pincode
    • Enter Tehsil/Thana/Taluka/Mandal name
    • Last enter District name

    In the fourth section fill the reason for Objection/Deletion-
    Here you need to fill the specific reason why you want to Objection inclusion or seeking deletion of name in voter list, due to death, due to shifting, not ordinarily residing at that constituency or having more than one EPIC. fill any one option which is required.

    In the last section (5- Declaration)
    You have to be declared that the facts and particulars mentioned in the application are true to the best of your knowledge and belief. The enter Place, date, and signature or thumb impression of the applicant. Also give your Mobile Number and Email ID, it is totally optional. Giving a false declaration is punishable under section 31 of the Representation of the people Act, 1950.

    The last two section will be filled by Electoral Registration Officer of the Constituency. After completed the form, submit it along with above (Relevant) documents to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of your constituency. And don’t forget to collect an application receipt from the Electoral Officer. It will be helped to track your application status.
