    HOW TO APPLY FOR DUPLICATE VOTER ID CARD IN THE STATE OF SIKKIM

    Sikkim is the state which is located in Himalaya Mountains. The state of Sikkim is bordered with Nepal from west, by Bhutan from east. As per the census records of state Mizoram have total inhabitants are 607,688. The state of Sikkim is one of the smallest states of India. The total covered under this state is seven thousand ninety six kilometers square. The state of Sikkim is residence of many tribal communities and they spoke many languages. The state has 11 official languages are Nepali, Sikkimese, Lepcha, Tamang, Limbu, Newari, Rai, Gurung, Magar, Sunwar and English. It is the third smallest GDP state in India. The largest and capital city of the state Sikkim is Gangtok. The state has total four districts are East Sikkim, North Sikkim, South Sikkim and West Sikkim. The literacy rate of the state Sikkim is 82.2%.
    The state of Sikkim has unicameral legislature, with one house which is called Vidhan Sabha. The state legislative assembly of Sikkim state has 32 directly elected members. The tenure of the member if Vidhan Sabha is five years until it is dissolved. The first legislative assembly election of the state is held in the year 1979, and the Indian national Congress won the elections. The main and major political parties of the state Sikkim are: Indian National Congress (INC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI (M)], Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), Sikkim Gorkha Prajatantric Party (SGPP), and Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad Party (SHRPP).
    In the 2009 state legislative assembly, the total number of electors cast their vote were 300,584 it is 81.79% of total voters of the state. The current Chief Minister of the state Sikkim is Pawan Chamling. He belongs to the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF). The state is represent by one member in Rayja Sabha and one member inn Lok Sabha in the Indian Parliamentary constituency.

    PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING DUPLICATE VOTER ID CARD IN SIKKIM STATE

    One who have lost their Identity card (Election Card) by any reason or if any person voter id card is damaged badly, then only one way is remained to the applicant that is to apply for duplicate voter ID card to the state Chief Election Commission. It is necessary because we all know that Voter ID card is necessary for all Indian Citizen, as it is need at various places. Let’s start procedures.

    Once the voter ID card is lost, immediately move to your local Police station to file a FIR and please take a copy of it. Do not forget to take copy of FIR from Police officer.

    Now you can take application form for filing application. Visit to BLO or Chief Election Commission and take form no 002 of duplicate voter ID card.

    In it fill details as like name, father’s name, address, EPIC card number, state, assembly constituency etc. fill form in all aspects, all details should be accurate.

    A copy of FIR and an Identity proof like driving license, PAN card, Passport, Ration card, Aadhaar card etc as Identify proof.

    Now reach too your nearest Election Commission office and submit your application form with documents to concerned officer.

    Now wait for 3 to 4 weeks and receive your duplicate voter ID card. But if not receive in prescribed time any you can file a complaint.
